What you need to know
Each print is made to order, based on the format, medium, and finish you choose, and some are signed. For this reason, orders cannot be refunded or returned if you’ve changed your mind.
However, if your print has a quality issue (printing defect, scratch, product that does not match your order, or damage during shipping), we will exchange it free of charge: simply let us know within 30 days of receipt.
Why we do not offer refunds
In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer’s specifications or that are clearly personalized.
Since our prints are made to order—and, in some cases, signed—they fall into this category. Therefore, no cancellations, returns, or refunds are possible once the order has been confirmed, except in the event of a defect or non-conformity (see below).
You are notified of this before you confirm your order, as indicated in our Terms of sale.
Exchange in the event of a quality issue
If the print you receive is defective, we will replace it with an identical one at no cost to you.
The following are covered, among others:
- a printing defect (colors, sharpness, marks, streaks);
- a product that does not match your order (wrong image, size, material, or finish);
- a print that was damaged during shipping.
The following are not covered:
- slight variations in color or appearance between the on-screen display and the final print, which are inherent to screens and printing processes (see Article 3 of our Terms and Conditions of Sale);
- damage resulting from improper handling, supervision, or storage after receipt.
How do I request an exchange?
- Please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order by email at contact@adartparis.com.
- Please attach photos that clearly show the defect, as well as the packaging if the package arrived damaged, and include your order number.
- After reviewing your request, we will confirm that we will cover the cost and provide you with instructions on how to proceed. Please do not return the print without our prior approval.
- A new, identical print is then produced and shipped at our expense.
More than 30 days after receipt, exchange requests can no longer be accepted under this policy.
Package damaged upon delivery
If your package arrives visibly damaged, please note your reservations with the carrier at the time of delivery, if possible, and then report it to us as soon as possible, including supporting photographs (of the package and the contents). This will help facilitate and speed up the processing of your exchange.
Legal warranties
This exchange policy applies without prejudice to the legal guarantees to which you are entitled as a consumer:
- the statutory warranty of conformity (Articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code);
- the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
